Daily California Eggs
Benchmark prices are unchanged. Asking prices for next week are 21 cents
higher for Jumbo, 22 cents higher for Extra Large and Large and 15 cents
higher for Medium and Small. Trade sentiment is higher. Offerings are
usually light for immediate needs. Retail demand continues fairly good to
good with continued ad activity noted for next week. Warehouse buyers are
purchasing on an as needed basis and watching current market conditions.
Food service movement remains light. Supplies are in close balance to
moderate. Market activity is active.
Shell egg marketer's benchmark price for negotiated egg sales of
USDA Grade AA and Grade AA in cartons, cents per dozen. This
price does not reflect discounts or other contract terms.
